Charcoal robe – part 2 June 4, 2012 21:54

In our next meeting we looked through my collection of silk swatches and towelling.  Selecting the right fabric combination is always so important in the designing process.  It not only dictates the fit and fall of the robe, but also how it makes the wearer feel when they put it on.  We chose a deep, beautiful charcoal colour with single sided Swiss cotton for the towelling lining.  The combination of these fabrics was so soft and feminine.
We also added more “swish” to the skirt of the robe to make it even more individual.  The robe was now taking shape.
